Overview - Yacutinga is a unique eco-project dedicated to the conservation of the surrounding jungle through the implementation of sustainable practices, the protection of the natural sanctuary and the environmental education of local communities. Only ten acres out of a total of 1,408 that comprise the reserve have been used to accommodate the resort. The lodge, built with local materials such as stone and large pieces of wood gathered from naturally fallen trees, blends in perfect harmony with the surrounding jungle. The main building, which includes the reception, an indoor restaurant and a terrace bar, provides a special atmosphere enhanced by the surrounding Palmetto palm forest. At the bottom of the impressive wooden stairs from the main building there is a central botanical garden, a pool, an herb garden and a self-guided forest catwalk.
